puce INTERIEURS CUIR IS ON SHOW IN MILAN IN APRIL 2011

To generate multiple and unique fields of creative expression internationally, the INTERIEURS CUIR prototypes will be on display in Milan from Monday 11th to Sunday 17th April, as part of the MATERIAL MATTERS show, during Milan Design Week. This show brings together the latest innovations in leather and technological glass to demonstrate French expertise in innovation and excellence.

The exhibition is organised by the FFTM (French Tanners and Dressers Association) and QUANTUM GLASS (a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain dedicated to active glass technology), in partnership with CTC. It offers the opportunity to talk to the experts who created these surprising solutions and see samples of the materials used.

Showcased as part of the MATERIAL MATTERS exhibition, at the heart of the Milano Off festival, these two very different materials – leather and glass – reveal a remarkable collection of innovations for architecture, decoration and design.

New directions for contemporary design indicated by around thirty original objects, most of which are shown here exclusively, and created by renowned designers:  François Azambourg, Harri Koskinen, Xavier Lust, OutofStock, Tomas Erel, Daniel Rybakken and the 5.5 Designers.

These creations generate an enriching dialogue - between innovation, technology and tradition - to develop our daily environment.

The MATERIAL MATTERS show is divided into two separate circuits designed by Saazs :  Skin-Tingling Design (the leather circuit) and Sensitive Technology (the glass circuit), offering multiple and novel fields of expression in the form of concrete applications using materials that are both ancestral and innovative.

The show is a forum for meetings and discussions, and visitors are invited to meet at Café Tolix®, created  by the living heritage company, Tolix Steel Design . This convivial café offers an entertaining presentation of the latest innovations created by Normal Studio, who have been artistic directors of the brand for the last five years.

puce INTERIEURS  CUIR ACTE 2 AT LE CUIR A PARIS SHOW IN SEPTEMBER 2009

For the second consecutive year, the collective promotional operation, INTERIEURS CUIR, made headlines at the LE CUIR A PARIS show from 15th to 18th September 2009, in hall 4 of the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre.

This operation was launched in 2008 by the French Tanners and Dressers Association (FFTM), CTC and 12 French Tanners and Dressers and it offered an original installation:

LEATHER BOUND...

Leather creates beautiful lines in contemporary interiors. Invited by the French Tanners and Dressers industry, key players from the architecture and design worlds paid homage to it.
Phrases written on parchment slotted into a wall of leather tiles designed by CTC using a colour palette exclusively chosen by the designer François Azambourg.

This wall, created using the leathers and parchments produced by the French tanners and dressers participating in the operation, created a stir and showcased the new INTERIEURS CUIR logo, a blend of elegance and modernity.
